Aims and Topics

The purpose of the Symposium is to stimulate international dialog among academics and practitioners with mutual interests in interval data modelling.Interval data,or more generally symbolic data, are of increasingly available in practice. Major developments of solutions to modelling interval data includeinterval time series models, symbolicdata analysis, fuzzyset and random set, imprecise probabilities and differential data models. This interdisciplinary symposium will cover all oninterval data modelling and related fieldsand is thus relevant for a broad audience.

The topics of interest of this symposiuminclude, but are not limited to:

  • Interval time series analysis
  • Interval forecasts
  • Symbolic data analysis
  • Risk measurement and volatility modelling
  • Statistical inference of interval data
  • Random set and fuzzy set
  • Interval analysis and interval computing
  • Histogram data models
  • Applications of interval models
