ESRC Advanced Training Programme in Corporate Finacnce

ESRC ADVANCED TRAINING PROGRAMME IN CORPORATE FINANCE
13-17 June 2011

The Xfi Centre for Finance and Investment at University of Exeter is offering a one-week residential advanced training course in corporate finance, lead by Professor Bart Lambrecht (Lancaster University Management School), Professor Krishna Payudal (University of Strathclyde Business School), Professor Marc Goergen (Cardiff Business School), Professor Raghavendra Rau (Judge Business School, Cambridge University), and Professor Ingolf Dittmann (Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam). Local organisers are Dr Grzegorz Trojanowski and Professor Alan Gregory. This workshop is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council of Great Britain (ESRC) and is particularly aimed at, but not limited to, doctoral candidates in finance and economics as well as early career researchers in the area.       
    
TOPICS:    

During the week the participants will study the following topics:     
     - valuation of real options and corporate liabilities;
     - capital structure and debt maturity choices;
     - issues in corporate governance;
     - endogeneity in corporate finance and corporate governance research and acquisitions;
     - executive compensation.     
    
REGISTRATION/FURTHER INFORMATION:    

Registration fees for full-time postgraduate research students will be a nominal British Pound 100. A limited number of free accommodation places funded by the ESRC will also be available to members of this group based at UK universities.
