Call for Papers

 

You are cordially invited to submit abstracts of your papers for the Fourth CWE (Chinese Women Economists) International Workshop on empirical research using micro data.

Time        June 2-3, 2007

 

Location:    China Center for Economic Research, Peking University, China

 

Purpose:

 

Since 2002, Chinese Women Economists Research and Training Program of the Center for Economic Research, Peking University has provided post-graduate economic research and training for Chinese women economists with a focus on empirical research using micro data. With the financial backing from the Ford Foundation and hands-on help of research mentors from home and abroad, women economists in universities and research institutes have made notable progress in research. The annual meeting of Chinese women economists brings together current and former students, mentors and researchers supportive of women economists and interested in sharing results of their empirical research using micro data. It also provides a platform for women economists to share research experience with each other and with male colleagues, and to explore opportunities for future collaborations.

 

Topics: Any topic on empirical research on the Chinese economy using micro data.

 

Participants: While the workshop is organized by Chinese Women Economist Research and Training Program, we warmly welcome our male colleagues to join us to share your knowledge and expertise on empirical research.    

 

SUBMISSION GUIDLINES:

 

Please email an extended abstract (less than 500 words) of your paper no later than March 1, 2007 to Ms. Li Xiaohua at: chwen2003@126.com. The subject of the email should be “Workshop Abstract.” Please include your name, affiliation, mailing address, phone numbers and email address. Successful applicants will be notified by March 30, 2007. The deadline for submitting the completed paper is April 30, 2007.

 

 

EXPENSES AND SUBSIDIES

 

Chinese Women Economists Research and Training Program will provide a round-trip train tickets, hotel and meals for one author of the selected paper.
