Theme and Issues

Institute of International Business at Zhejiang University has focused on the World Business Cycles and China Open Economy for a long time. The director, Professor Song Yuhua, has just completed the Project of "World Business Cycles: Theory and Demonstration", which sponsored by National Philosophy and Social Science Foundation of China. She and her team hope to share  studies on world business cycles or its relations with the development of China's Open Economy.

The theme of the Conference will be "World Business Cycles and China's Open Economy" . The conference aims to promote open debate and genuine exchange regarding important issues of world business cycles and its relations with China's Development.

The Conference invites scholars to present papers at or participate in this proposed conference . While all papers on world business cycles and China's development are welcome, we are particularly interested in the following areas:

¡ì World Business Cycles

¡ì Development of China's Open Economy

¡ì Interaction between China's Economy and World 

Selected papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of an academic journal, or an edited book subject to a normal refereeing process.

Submissions

If you can find the time to attend the conference and give a presentation, please contact us before July 31, 2006 by replying this invitation. Then, please send an abstract (200-300 words) before Sep.15, 2006, and  full paper before Sep.30 to the secretary of the conference organizing committee:
