主讲人简介：Dr. Edward Chao is a Senior Research Scientist at Insightful Corporation. He is also holding an Assistant Clinical Professor position at the Preventive Medicine and Biometrics of U. of Colorado Health Science Center. He is interested in data, computational and methodological issues associated with clinical trials, clustered data, survival data, and family data. He is a Principal Investigator leading an R&D team in the investigation of methods for dropout data, surrogate markers, measurement errors, and a visual environment for spatial and temporal data. He developed S+CorrelatedData library for analyzing clustered data. The library was released in S-PLUS version 7.0 in 2005. Dr. Chao is interested in international collaboration. In the past, he collaborated with researchers from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, U. of Michigan, U. of Washington, North Carolina State University, U. of Colorado Health Science Center, Academia Sinica, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Bell Labs of Lucent Technologies and Microsoft Research etc.
