主讲简介：
1994年获MIT经济学博士学位，自2005年起为瑞典斯德哥尔摩大学国际经济研究所教授，目前的研究领域为全球变暖与长期经济增长、动态政府政治经济学（尤其是再分配、社会保障和健康）、最优税赋和社会保险。John Hassler教授还担任Macroeconomic Dynamics副主编（2012-）、Scandinavian Journal of Economics副主编（2006-）、多个学术杂志的审稿人、瑞典财政政策委员会副主席（2011-）、Bellagio group成员（2011-）、诺贝尔经济学奖评奖委员会拥有投票权的协理成员（associate member）（2009.12-）、欧洲经济顾问集团(EEAG)成员 (2008-)、英国经济政策研究中心（CEPR）国际宏观和公共政策项目的研究员、德国CESifo的研究员、IZA研究员。曾任瑞典财政部咨询委员会成员（1997-2005）、政府反规制评估委员会专家成员（2004-2005）、瑞典经济学家协会的理事会成员（2004-2012）、瑞典财政部顾问（2008-2009）、Economic Policy Panel委员（2008-2010）、Review of Economic Studies编委（2004-2011）、European Economic Review副主编（2007-2009）。近年论文发表于以下杂志：Journal of the European Economic Association、American Economic Review: Papers and Proceedings、European Economic Review、Journal of Monetary Economics、Journal of Economic Growth、 Journal of Economic Theory、International Economic Review等
