詹妮弗·弗朗哥现任国际研究院（位于荷兰阿姆斯特丹）研究员，也是非政府组织“发展与和平”国际发展项目亚洲委员会的委员。她在1997年获得美国马萨诸塞州布兰戴斯大学 (Brandeis University) 政治学博士学位。早期的研究领域主要是菲律宾的农村社会运动与农村政治。她著有《菲律宾的选举与民主化》一书（Routeledge出版社，2001），并有《菲律宾的法律与穷人》即将出版（Ateneo de Manila 大学出版社，2010）。她在《世界发展》、《发展研究》、《亚洲批判研究》等多家学术期刊上发表了论文。最近她的研究兴趣包括农村民主化，农业燃料，土地政策，土地攫取（land grabbing）等。
