2016年弗里希奖揭晓

据世界计量经济学会(Econometric Society)最新消息,由Costas Meghir、Elhanan Helpman和Alessandro Lizzeri组成的三人评审小组将2016年弗里希奖颁给了三位美国经济学家,他们分别是加州大学伯克利分校经济系助理教授Benjamin Handel,西北大学经济系教授Igal Hendel,麻省理工学院经济系教授Michael Whinston。

三位研究者凭借2015年发表在《计量经济学杂志》(Econometrica)的一篇论文,摘取了2016年弗里希奖的桂冠。在这篇题为《健康选择中的均衡:逆向选择vs风险再分类》(Equilibria in Health Exchanges: Adverse Selection versus Reclassification Risk)的论文中,研究者用个人健康选择和医疗报销层面的面板数据进行实证分析,在医疗选择中发现了逆向选择的证据。评委会认为,这篇文章通过实证分析为人们权衡医疗保险及关键问题提供了框架。文章发表后,很快被《健康经济学评论》(Health Economics Review)及《经济理论杂志》(Journal of Economic Theory)等引用。

弗里希奖为纪念数量经济学和计量经济学先驱拉格纳·弗里希(Ragnar Frisch)而设立,每两年评选一次,获奖作品被视作《计量经济学杂志》(Econometrica)在过去五年最好的应用文章。1978年,首届弗里希奖颁给了2015年诺贝尔经济学奖得主Angus S. Deaton;2016年,弗里希奖正好成功评选出20届,其中一些人凭借这些文章斩获诺贝尔经济学奖和克拉克奖。

The 2002 Medal was awarded to Ricardo J. Caballero and Eduardo M.R.A.
