收入差距与经济增长的关系是一个古老而又充满活力的话题。本文运用1980-2004年的省级面板数据和一阶差分广义矩（first difference GMM）方法估计了一个新古典增长模型。研究结果显示，中国城乡收入差距的扩大对经济增长有显著的正向作用，该结果对变量定义、样本选择和模型设定具有很强的稳健性。
This paper estimates a new classical growth model using the provincial panel data. The GMM estimation results show that urban-rural income inequality has significant and positive effect on growth. This relation is highly robust across samples, variable definitions, and model specifications.
