F. Bernard Stalder built up and managed the Private Banking business of Clariden. In 1999 he became CEO of Clariden and responsible for the implementation of the expansion strategy developed under his leadership.
F. Bernard Stalder started his banking career with UBS in 1974. During the eighties he spent two years in Brazil and six years in London, first still with UBS as Head of Private Banking and later as Head Marketing with Citibank Private Bank. Between 1988 and 1991 he was the Head of the Private Banking Investment Center of Citibank in Zurich until joining Clariden.
F. Bernard Stalder studied Economics and Social Sciences at the University of St. Gall, where he acquired a masters degree in 1974.
Clariden is a Credit Suisse Group company. Founded in 1955, it has enjoyed uninterrupted growth since 1991, both financially and in terms of human resources. It has posted average annual growth rates of over 18 % for net income, over 16 % for assets under management and approximately 10 % in terms of the workforce.
