The Impact Of Downsizing On Innovation Output

Kamel Mellahi is currently an Associate Professor in International Strategic Management at the University of Nottingham Business School, and will from September 2006 be Chair Professor in Stategic Management at School of Management, University of Sheffield, UK. His research activities focus on strategic management, with particular emphasis on international business strategy. He has published 3 books and over 70 publications in academic journals, books and conference proceedings. His recent work has appeared in leading scholarly journals such as Strategic Management Journal (2006), British Journal of Management (2002), Long Range Planning (2005), Journal of World Business (2004), among others. He recently co-edited two special issues for (1) Long Range Planning (2005) and (2) International Journal of Human Resource Management (2006/7). 

Professor Mellahi has been interviewed by a number of national and international newspapers including the Financial Times. He is frequently invited to lead executive training workshops, be a guest speaker at conferences and research seminars, and chair track sessions at conferences. He regularly reviews research proposals for research councils, and manuscripts submitted to peer review journals and conferences. He serves on the board of the International Journal of Management Reviews. In addition to research, he has taught, designed and administered a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and executive courses on topics spanning strategic management, international business and international management. In addition to university teaching, he has designed and delivered a number of executive training programmes for executives and consulted with several multinationals and local firms on issues of strategy and international business.
